Greg Chaisson

Greg Chaisson is an American bassist and songwriter, best known for his work in the hard rock and heavy metal genres. He gained prominence in the late 1980s as a member of the band Badlands, which was formed by former Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Jake E. Lee. Badlands released several albums, including their self-titled debut in 1989, which showcased Chaisson's powerful bass lines and songwriting abilities. Chaisson’s style is characterized by a blend of bluesy rock influences and a heavy metal edge, contributing to the band's distinctive sound. After Badlands disbanded in the mid-1990s, he continued to work in the music industry, collaborating with various artists and participating in projects like the band The Last Temptation. While not as widely known as some of his contemporaries, Chaisson's contributions to the rock genre, particularly through his work with Badlands, have earned him a dedicated following and recognition for his musicianship. His influence can be seen in the ongoing appreciation for hard rock and heavy metal from that era, as well as in the work of newer bands inspired by the classic sound he helped shape.
